Golf Adriatic | PGA National Croatia

Vandaag voor de tweede keer in drie dagen gespeeld op deze prachtige baan aan de noordkust van Kroatië: PGA National Croatia. Een van de slechts 3 golfbanen in het land maar wel meteen een mooie net over de grens bij Slovenie Bij aankomst valt meteen het op het open en gastvrije personeel en dat geeft je meteen een welkom gevoel. De driving range ligt op steenworp afstand van het clubhuis en ook de ruime putting green ligt er uitstekend bij. De baan biedt een mooie afwisseling van brede en smalle fairways, waardoor iedere hole een andere uitdaging met zich meebrengt. De greens zijn van prima kwaliteit: strak, egaal, zacht en goed onderhouden. Door de zomerse temperaturen waren ze iets langzamer dan normaal, maar gezien de hitte lagen ze er werkelijk fantastisch bij. Het is een goeie baan om in de zomer te spelen. De vele hoogteverschillen zorgen niet alleen voor afwisselende holes, maar ook voor schitterende uitzichten, vooral wanneer je van boven naar beneden speelt. Na afloop hebben we in alle rust genoten van een kop koffie en een paar broodjes in het clubhuis. Ook daar straalt alles de kwaliteit uit die je van een PGA-locatie mag verwachten. Een baan die absoluut een bezoek waard is.

I was visiting Slovenia and had some spare time since one meeting was cancelled and I took time to visit this nice resort. Its quite far from main road to get to this course, however easily reachable. Arriving to parking lot you can already see the Istria coast line. I love the big sign on clubhouse showing PGA Croatia course. Well equipped proshop is next to reception and nice bar. I had quick chat with manager to learn about the course. Than I rush it to first tee without warm up. First hole is short par 4 with wide fairway. I was instructed that they are rebuilding bunkers on some holes and I did appreciated that info. Front nine is more tough and challenging than back nine. Its on one side of the road which is dividing the course. I did not expect many elevation changes but there are the holes which you play quite up and down. Along the holes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 you can observe olive orchards and on course is many oaks trees which nicely line the holes and divide fairways. Than the course is taking you to the other side once you cross the road again. Back nine starts with short par 4 dog leg right. The most beautiful hole for me was hole 11 and 12, would called them signature ones. The rest of the holes is lined up around the lake just bellow the clubhouse and last hole par 3. From the clubhouse balcony you can observe majority of the course and green of 18 hole. Overall I was so impressed with quality of the greens and how fresh and juicy course look especially in area where I would expect dry fairways, but what a mistake. Price performance ration is pushing you to come back and play again as well as great packages with hotel accommodation offered.

Parcours au tracé large et sinueux, vallonné. Plans d'eaux pour agrémenter le jeu. Facile de scorer. Panorama magnifique sur l adriatique et les collines avoisinantes. La maintenance mériterait davantage.

Mi aspettavo di più. Sicuramente un bel campo non molto difficile ma vista la posizione vicino al mare mi aspettavo qualche buca più scenografica. Ottima manutenzione
